Good Eats
I’m a bit of a food nut and will be listing some of my favourite food spots around Mississauga, Toronto and the GTA on this page. These are mostly places that I frequent probably way too often, as dining out can become an expensive habit.
Burrito Boyz
Pros
Burrito Boys has consistently kickass burritos. After the burrito is made fresh in front of you, it’s put on the grill for a few minutes to make the tortilla bread cripy.
Cons
Occasionally you’ll get bits of stringy/chewy beef or chicken cartilage, or they wont leave it on the grill long enough to heat up the insides adequately. Their website is pretty shitty too unless you have a 30″ monitor.

Island Foods
Pros
Best, juiciest roti I’ve ever had. They make their roti bread freshly throughout the day. Consistently delicious. Island Foods popped my roti cherry and as such I’ve been disappointed by almost every other roti shop since. Ghandi Roti on Queen is decent, their butter chicken rotis are huge and good. This place is family owned and they work their asses off, expect huge lineups during rush hours.

FullBite Burgers (R.I.P.)
Amazing huge-ass juicy burgers from mutant cows. Their fries kicked ass too. It was located near Dixie and Dundas in Mississauga. The badass greek owners sold it to some Indians who promptly drove it into the ground with stale ingredients and shitty service.
C&Dubbs (Formerly C&W)
Location
Dundas east of Dixie in Mississauga
Pros
Best burgers I’ve found since FullBite’s demise. Their homeburgers are 8oz (1/2 lb). If you feel like having a heart attack you can go for the triple homeburger (1.5 lbs). These guys are open late and popular spot for after-clubbers.
Cons
It ain’t no FullBite.

Apache Burger

Dundas west of Kipling, Etobicoke (Toronto)
Pros
Good greasy burgers. Really good steak on kaiser. If you want to “go down for the day”™ order an apache burger with onion rings and malted shake.

Academy of Spherical Arts
Pros
Best kept secret. They’ve got huge spaces for hosting parties, and have several antique pool tables to play on. Stupidly huge selection of world beers. Absolutely the best lunch buffet hands down. It used to be held once a year during Christmas time, but was so popular they started having it every day. People went in droves but soon got sick of stuffing their faces daily so traffic dropped. Buffets are now during lunch on Fridays only, totally worth it. They used to have Dufflet cakes and gelato at their dessert table, not sure what happened with that.

Duff’s Famous Wings
Pros
Best wings. Period. Huge-ass delicious wings with great sauce. Also spiciest wings I’ve found so far. Allstar Wings north of the city claim to have hotter, but I haven’t tried them yet. I’ve tried Allstar’s second-hottest and they were weaksauce compared to Duff’s Armageddon or even Death sauce.

Gabby’s
Pros
Best ribs I’ve found in Toronto so far. Haven’t searched that much though. First tasted them at Taste of the Danforth, and went back for more afterwards. Their ribs are even better in the restaurant than when they were BBQing at the Taste. I can’t speak for their other locations as I’ve only eaten at the one spot.

Pros
Giant delicious Burek. Take some digestive enzymes before going here. You will stuff your face and you will be down for the day. Kickass cevapi too.
